03.14 is π day....

raaaaaar.

03.14 was π day.

and i missed it.

π_____________π;;; <== omg new uses of π symbol! ^o^

Geom post #01

And finally, before I leave, just some simple problems. If you are one of my batchmates (or upperclassmen of our school), this shouldn't be difficult for you. ^^; Answers/solutions to come soon. (Click on the pics to enlarge and see the figures clearer. Figures made with AutoCAD 2004.)

Geom Problem 01
In this problem, a conveyor belt is put around two circular belts in the manner shown in the picture, i.e. the tangent segments are internal and they intersect. Given the radii of the circles and the distance of the circles' centers, find the length of the belt.

Geom Problem 02
This problem is similar to Problem 01, except that the belt has a different oriention; the segments tangent to the circles are external tangents this time (i.e. do not intersect). Given the radii of the circles and the distance of the circles' centers, find the length of the belt. The approach is almost the same as in GP01.

That's all for now. Happy clearance/vacation/whatever you're in work of right now! #

Finally, a post title! and link!

Just a note on P.S.2.:

As I told earlier, I confess to having many blogs. And before this gets anyone getting on their nerves (just like on that earlier issue), just a simple comment: I'm starting to make much out of blogging to organize writings and rantings and make my life easier.
I have blogs for writing daily rants, those for writing and humor practice, and finally, for stuff such as this and all other educational/opinion stuff. About the last item, I'm planning to reserve another blog for it; Blogger just doesn't have the ability to classify all my posts, which might end up random or something.

See? The world is flat. And this is just another use of it. I hope things are clear. ^_____^;;;

Roaarr. Welcome to this blog. Where shit happens. Or so it does. >>)

If you're reading this then most probably you are one of the first few people who are pulled into this freakin' application of unscientifically scientific dope stuff and its coming into the flat world. I know that when people finally start to see this they'll all choke and reply 'wtfh is this' stuff or something like a paraphrase or so. Well, sorry for that. :P But, what is this thing anyway and why has an overly stupid dude decided to make such a thing?

The answer is, I don't know too. We just came from another head-hurting session (at least one of the last sessions, which is not as headhurting as the others) and were given a bonus problem on our Math 2 (Geometry) class. I finished the bonus in, like, a day or so, and got uber-nerdy-proud. And the next thing I remember, it led to a series of events, intercourse and reproduction until I ended up with a love, no---brainchild in the form of a blue-backgrounded jumble of words. Like this one.

Well, here in our country summer's coming already, and the scorching heat of the sun is gonna seep into our wee rooms for about two months, and since there're no classes, I'm almost gonna be bored for the rest of my life. And, as a friend told about a year ago, "gotta keep those brain cells working, huh?" Well, somehow, I've got to. I don't want to get my brain dull all my life. So aside from planning to attend workshops, seminar-stuffs, live my life, and get a job to get pay for all this, I also decide to jot random math-related down on a blog like this to prevent me from boredom at home. Why? Even I don't understand, poor me.

But right now, I also see some good prospects, like helping out to my classmates or so. It's a flat world, after all. [Well, at least, if this becomes that useful.]

Okay, lemme just quote from somewhere: "Mathematics is the study of pattern, number, shape, and all kinds of other fun things like that. It’s been defined as “that part of physics where experiments are inexpensive”, which I find an overly restrictive definition. It could more accurately be called “that part of science where experiments are inexpensive...” (sorry for removing the topology part) Well, come to think of it, there is a bright side with math after all. At least it isn't as harmful as mixing chemicals in which a touch could mutate, or as bloody and scary (well, for some) as dissecting a catfish, frog, human, or any other organism in this world. Almost no catfish, frogs, animal brains, or humans get harmed, dissected, aborted, or whatever-whatnot in the study of it. At least not. Just with the exception of young human brains.

Oh well, enough of this... so, welcome to my nth blog to date the nth insanity the human kingdom has ever made! Peaaaace. And I do hope we are at peace with each other. (^_________^)____V #

Thanks for reading. OMG I love you all!!!! <3 <3 <#

>+-*/=!<

P.S. NEVER expect advanced math in this blog. It's obvious that I'm making math insanity out of this one, but please, I'm still a wee sophie-turning-junior high school student. I still don't know much about e, complicated primes, cycles on fibonacci sequences and all those other stuff. This might limit posts to algebra, geometry and trigonometry for now. And by the way, for most other readers, it makes life easier for others, right? :D

Also I encourage everyone to feel free to post comments, criticisms, suggestions, homework help, and whatever whatnot. ^_^;

P.S.2. Okay, I admit to this being my nth journal already. There was a recent event of someone who got irritated with a group of friends over their creation of multiple blogs. This was reconciled in no time, though. Well, I confess to having multiple blogs, too. More details on an upcoming post.

P.S.P. Okay, I'm getting corny. But I'm just freaked out about why Blogger does not have a field for the entry's title. Well at least while I'm typing right now. Oh well. That's all, folks!
